We live in a fantasy world, a world of illusion. The great task in life is to find truth/reality.

The society in which we live wants truth because it places a high value on truth. But then why in court there is geetaji? “jobhi kahunga sach kahunga, sach ke siwa aur kuch nahi kahunga. Is it the only way justice can be delivered?

Do you know the truth is also in two ways though it should have only one way and i.e. “Truth itself”: being true to yourself and being true to others. Both are quite the same thing but have different places in society. Shakespeare also suggested that someone true to themselves is unlikely to be false to others.

Truth has no copyright or trademark, not so much of thoughts and ideas but it is more about belief and assertions. Just to believe or assert something is not enough to make it true for that you need to speak the truth.

Truth is just five letter word but the weightage it has is more than the years you live. Your identity, your goodwill the summary of your lifestyle will conclude how truthful a person you are. Truth is not property, but an attitude to live life in the world.

There was one person who asked me ‘how can others know when am I lying?

And this was what I said.

We human beings are more emotional and less practical. To the person to whom you are lying will easily make out from your actions and words. When we lie our subconscious mind gets activate and we are not able to do eye contact with the person whom we are speaking, the facial expressions are changed these two signs are enough for the people to know what exactly you are trying to say.

“You can lie to yourself but you can’t lie to others.”

Final Thought:

Truth is always constructive and adaptive, while lies are destructive and self-defeating. Being truthful to yourself is always needed because you cannot live in a life where people judge you with your character. Truthfulness allows you to be honest to yourself and others and to live a life that reflects that.
